Some Feelings Are Left Unexpressed

8:18 AM

Second semester started again so it means that I’m back once again with my dorm life. Part of my dorm life is to watch movies or series whenever I don’t have to do any schoolwork. It became a habit for me and my roommates to share movies, series, mtv, musics and more with each other and recently, I’ve been watching a Korean TV series entitled “Sassy, Go Go”. It is also known as “Cheer Up!” which I got from one of my roommates. “Sassy, Go Go” was aired recently around October to November with 12 episodes only. This series is all about high school students, rich and strict parents, and corruption, competing with each other, friendship, love, hope and their passion. This story contains realities in different aspects. And out of this series, I was able to think a lot of stories that each aspect can be great for an individual story. For this blog post, I’ll deal with the parent – child relationship concept of story first.

As we all know, our parents want the best for us - the best for our future. They are the ones who teaches us, coaches us, advices us or simply tell us what to do so that we can get where they want us to be. Children just comply, but children also comply with willingness. Children are willing to follow whatever their parents told them to do so because they know that it is also for them, for their own benefit and for their future. But what if a parent raised his child in a strict manner and might just go beyond his limit? What if his way of teaching his child a lesson or telling him what to do isn’t right anymore? What if he’s securing his child’s future too much that he forgets the feelings of his child? What if his child loves him so much that his child is too afraid to tell his real feelings? What if his child is too afraid that he might hurt his parent’s feelings if he contradicts the will of his parents? How can the child with personal issue with his parent approach his parent and tell how he truly feels?

It’s complicated. But there will always be a person or people who will not leave you alone, that are where other aspects of your life come in.

Stay tuned with it!
