Waiting For Right Things to Come and Happen

8:22 AM

The use of social media is very inevitable. It’s ageless as well – small children up to our grannies. I remember when I was still awake around 2am, my best friend and I were talking via twitter. We were talking about how life can be associated with traffic lights and as we talk about it, we were able to come up with concepts or ideas and to the point that we even want to put more details into it and come up with a story or a book about it. Just like Antoinette Jadaone’s book entitled “An Arrow With A Heart Pierced Through Him”, wherein symbolism were used as well to describe the story of a boy and a girl. It all started when we were talking about “waiting for right things to come and happen”. Suddenly, I saw a quote over the internet, “Waiting for the right thing to happen, you might wait for a long time. It’s like waiting for all the traffic lights to be green for five miles before starting the trip.” It was quoted by Robert Kiyosaki. It was relevant to what my best friend and I were talking about so I tweeted it to her and she started to think about the idea of the story. The concept of our story that we were able to talk about goes like this…

Traffic lights have red which means stop, yellow which means ready and green which means go. A girl, who’s on her journey meeting the one, she has many stoplights to pass on through before reaching her destination. The whole journey itself indicates her searching and waiting for the one. And each stoplight that the girl reaches to is the guys that she’s going to meet before the one. Every time the girl realizes that the stoplight is not what she’s looking or waiting for, she then moves on until the stoplight turns yellow and it means that she’s ready - ready to go on and continue to her journey towards meeting the one. Then the stoplight will eventually go green, and again her journey continues. She keeps on passing and passing and passing through stoplights not knowing when she will have the last stoplight on her journey. But surely when everything is right, the girl won’t need to pass more stoplights anymore and wait for her journey to end, she will eventually reach her destination and meet the right one. And that will make her have a new journey, but this time with him.

You might wait for a very long time but I bet it’s worth waiting for. You deserve it!
